As a family, we love to read… and, possibly even more than that, we love holidays (ok, definitely). Seasonal books are a great way to get into the spirit and introduce new books to the kids to keep their reading interesting. Some of these we have had for a year or two and a few of them are new this year. After Halloween, they take a back seat to other books but I don’t always pack them away since the kids might outgrow them by the next year. For those of you with older kids, putting them away for a year might work out well.
I ordered some of these books from Indigo, and some from Amazon. Don’t forget that Amazon can usually ship within a day or two! I’ll link all of the books at the end of this post.
Noah’s favourite of these is “No Such Thing” by Ella Bailey, which is a super cute book about ghosts causing all kinds of mischief. The protagonist is named Georgia, so I think that’s why he likes it so much. Georgia’s favourite is “EEK! Halloween!” by Sandra Boynton (always a hit in this house), and she has memorized almost all of it. I love hearing her say, in her adorable tiny voice, “someone said BOO! and the chickens said EEK!”
