Our playhouse has been so much fun to makeover and its such a focal point in our backyard that I thought it would be fun to style it for Halloween for the kids! I find that redoing spaces like this renews their interest in them, too – win, win!

I made the doorbell, inspired by Melissa of A Magical Mess. The pumpkins have all been painted and decorated by me, and the printables were from Olive & Eve Co. The sign over the door is by my talented friend Karen over at Urban Playground Designs. We have had this for a couple of years and it works in so many places! The giant spiders are from eBay (hard to find, but Amazon has a few similar options). I found the hay bale at Michaels – they have them every year, and most of the rest of the accessories are from Dollarama.
We had all of these items already – I repainted/decorated many of the pumpkins I already had, but nothing here was purchased for this. I just had to drag it all outside and set it up! Most of this can’t stay outdoors permanently but I am happy to bring out those things when they feel like playing “witches’ café” of whatever they decide to imagine!
I hope you love what we’ve done!

Thank you so much, Kate! That was their favourite part too
Love it, what Did You use to make the cauldron smoke? Thank You!
Hi! We used dry ice from a smoothie box order and added hot water. Don’t touch it! And we also put a stainless steel bowl inside the plastic one to be safe ❤️
Love the playhouse…so creative. Where did you get the cute white picket fence?
Hi! I found the picket fence at the dollar store but to be honest its pretty cheap and I would prefer to find one at Home Depot or a garden centre 🙂
