I am so proud of this DIY! It wasn’t difficult, but I built it and painted it myself from start to finish – and you can do it, too!
I used 4 KNAGGLIG storage crates from IKEA, one TRANHULT wall shelf as the “countertop” (totally optional and not required), 2 x 3/4″ dowels from Michaels, and a few pieces of pine for the awning supports. My husband cut the shelf and the pine pieces to size for me. You can actually purchase some wooden stakes from Michaels if you don’t want to use a saw and you can skip the countertop.
The awning was actually a tablecloth I found on amazon and I just laid it over the dowels and folded and hot-glued it on. I would have probably sewn it more permanently or stapled it to the wood if I was sure it was staying, but I may switch it out for something more versatile so that we can change this stand up each season. I am envisioning a pumpkin patch stand in the fall, a hot cocoa bar in the winter, etc. – I want to style it different ways and I think it’ll really keep the kids’ interest in it over time!
These beautiful printables were made by Olive & Eve Co. and she is SO talented! She made a whole set for our theme and the other ladies who participated in this project (each with their own theme) – you can purchase them starting today on her site!
I mixed two wood stains to stain the shelf for the countertop: Varathane “Sun Bleached” and Miniwax “Pickled Oak”.

The other accessories were made using some wooden letters from Michaels, yarn, burlap pendants, homemade pompoms, and other craft supplies we already had on hand. Grab yourself a glue gun and get to work!
