Last Minute Gift Guide for HER

I was going to post gift guides for the family, and I’m sorry I wasn’t able to get to them all this year. It is, after all, the BUSIEST time of the year. When I decided to do ONE last-minute guide, I knew that we all probably had enough ideas for our children (but if you need help in that department, I have TONS of things linked in my amazon shop).

I realized that us Moms do SO much throughout the year, particularly around the holidays, and if anyone wanted to forward a gift guide to their significant other, Moms were the ones who deserved to be spoiled with gifts they ACTUALLY want. So, without further ado, were are my recommendations for the woman in your life.

I own all of these items from Our Place, and I can attest that they are all top quality and very chic. Our Place invests in ethical labour, uses responsible materials, and the Always Pan is several pots & pans in one. The plates are hand-painted ceramic, too! The Dinner for 4 set would make an incredible gift, but even one of these items would make any Mama super happy!

Sure, these may be upscale for a throw blanket, but it’s one she’ll keep for YEARS and is made of the absolute softest, squishiest, coziest microfibre and in the cutest prints and colours. Cozy, but make it chic!

I’ve been using BeautyCounter products for about 2 years now. I ditched all of the drugstore brands I was using for safe alternatives and I’ve never looked back. BeautyCounter has a list of over 1,500 toxic ingredients that are commonly found in drugstore brands that it has vowed to NEVER use (“the never list”) and the skincare and makeup is very effective. During the holidays they have incredible gift sets, too like the Countertime Deluxe Mini Set or the Beyond Gloss Trio.

One of my all-time favourite décor shops from Vancouver is The Cross Décor and Design. I used to shop there ALL the time and they have the most gorgeous gifts. A lightweight robe is a must-have, in my opinion. While we all need a cozy robe, a lightweight one is great all year for getting ready in the morning, or for after a hot shower when you don’t want to be too overheated. This one is beautiful!

I never thought I would use an Apple Watch until I got one. Now I can’t live without it. This gift carries a heftier price tag so it may not work for all, but for those looking for a special gift that’s also practical, I highly recommend them. I track my sleep, my exercise, my cycle, everything! Plus, as a busy Mom, I don’t always have my phone near me. My notifications (adjusted to your preference) are always available and I can determine what is urgent and what isn’t. I love it!

If you are reading this blog post, you probably already know how much I love Young Living and how much incorporating essential oils into our lives has made a difference for me. This gift idea doesn’t have to specifically be essential oils related (although I think they’re incredible!), but the gift of wellness is always a welcome one. You may not want to buy your wife a gym membership unless she asks for it, but some new supplements, a beautiful diffuser and some oils, some bath products or a gift certificate for a massage/acupuncture would all make great gifts. PS the aria diffuser now comes in White in Canada for those who have already taken the leap! SOOO beautiful!

Again, I may seem biased here, but believe me when I say that I don’t know any Mama out there who wouldn’t love this gift. She can book it when she wants, but what better way to freeze special moments in time? I’m a professional photographer and would STILL love to receive this as a gift, even from another photographer! Is that crazy? Nobody would say no to family photos. I promise!

We all love to take pride in our homes, no matter what our personal styles. Many big box stores are closed right now but you can still shop the LOVELIEST items AND locally which is even better!! My friend, Caroline, recently launched her online home décor and lifestyle shop called Top Knot Living Shop and she has the most beautiful items. I own many of them! From these wooden heart prayer beads, to this gorgeous throw, to these sweet bath mats.

Every Mom drinks cold coffee, right?? Not anymore!! I’m obsessed with my Yeti cups. I have one for my matcha and one extra-huge one for my water. They keep drinks hot or cold for up to 12 hours! I can literally sip on a venti matcha all day from Starbucks and it stays warm – or if you put ice in your water before bed, the ice is still there in the morning! Makes a wonderful gift and it’ll be the last travel tumbler you’ll ever need to buy.

This gift doesn’t have the same negative feel as a gym membership – quite the opposite! Most women love a good pair of runners, no matter what their fitness level or intentions for the new year. These Nikes are such a cute colour and are great for the everyday runner, plus they’re super lightweight and comfortable.

I hope you all enjoyed reading this gift guide and that it gave you some good ideas for last-minute gifts! Of course, it may just be best sent to your husband/partner via email or text, combined with and a HINT-HINT and winky-face emoji!

Happy holidays,

Missy
