This Easter will be like no other, that’s for sure. This year, the whole world is basically under quarantine (I hope you’re all staying home and staying safe!), so we won’t be having the big family dinners or brunches we are used to. I always want to find a reason to celebrate and I love to make occasions and holidays special for the kids so we are going to try to keep it as normal as possible.
I’m sharing with you guys what is in the Easter baskets for the kids (from Trey and I). The Easter bunny will bring the treats and goodies, but we always get them a basket of small gifts from us, too.
This year I have some collaborations with small shops that have not yet arrived so I’m sorry I can’t share those items in this post but I will still link to them below and if you follow me on Instagram I’ll be sure to share photos there, too.

I ordered everything well in advance but even still our Lush bath bombs have not even shipped yet (I ordered them over 2 weeks ago), so there are a few things missing but at this point in history we all have to be understanding that things are SO difficult and so out of the ordinary that delays are bound to happen. So – we will share what we have!
Noah’s Basket

I ordered this year’s baskets from Indigo and I love that they are small, reusable, and that they fold flat for storage. During quarantine, Trey and I have been on a serious purge kick and are trying to get rid of things and only keep what is simple, easy to store, and useful.

Noah has grown out of EVERYTHING lately, so he’ll love these new truck PJs and Best Brother sweatshirt. The tag was custom made for me by my friend Ashley and I’m tagging her shop below. Noah loves puzzles so I picked up a mini Easter puzzles book and Easter Basket Mad Libs. He also loves frogs, so this Jellycat stuffy is SO perfect for him. It’s really soft and good quality. The little bunny I made myself and have shared how to do it in my Instagram stories for you!

Georgia’s Basket

Obviously Gigi’s basket had to be a unicorn. She is only 4 years old and has already had two unicorn-themed birthday parties. She is obsessed with unicorns and will love this basket!

Gigi is getting the matching “Best Sister” sweatshirt to Noah’s “Best Brother”. They didn’t have it in baby size, but Sloane won’t notice. I also got her a matching dress with Sloane from my friends at Tiny Cactus Clothing (link below). She has her custom tag, the same Easter puzzles book and Jelly Belly treats as Noah as well. I made her bunny with a tutu and lots of sparkles and I know she’ll love it! She is also getting a pink Jelly cat bunny (this is probably her 4th or 5th one but she’s SO into stuffed animals, I don’t mind). Lastly, I grabbed her the sweetest bunny headband from a local shop, some spring nail polish colours, and a unicorn bracelet.
Below I’m linking those items that are not duplicates of Noah’s items.

Sloane’s Basket

My sweet littlest bunny got my favourite basket of the year, but I do think they all have ones that suit them perfectly. I love this pink bunny with floral accents. I think I love doing baby baskets most of all. Here are the details of Sloaney’s gifts!

The gorgeous cream dress in the centre I purchased from a random Instagram ad (such risky business, by the way!) – and I don’t have a link for it. I wish I did because it is TO.DIE.FOR.
She has the matching dress to Gigi’s, a homemade bunny (and I put a rattle insert in hers), and a Jellycat daffodil. I think she’ll really like to chew on the stems of the daffodil. From a small local shop I grabbed the same bunny headband as Georgia, as well as a wooden camera toy (could that be any more perfect?) and a beautiful velour moon and star garland with wooden beads. We’ll probably use this as a décor piece in the playroom, which we are reorganizing and doing a “soft redecorate” to as we are all home.
Last, but not least, is the homemade bunny bonnet from Lavender & Lillie Handmade. We have several of their pinafore dresses but this was the first year I purchased the bunny bonnet and I can’t wait to get photos of Sloane wearing it.

One other little handmade item I added in are these little magic / fairy wands for the kids. My kids LOVE playing with wands when they’re playing make believe. They use them for everything and I love that these look so special and handmade. I used items I already had! I took thin wooden dowels from the craft store and cut them in half so they’re not too long, then hot glued card stock stars onto the end and tied some pretty yarn (with a dot of hot glue so they hopefully don’t fall off.
Finishing Touches

I am so thrilled to have collaborated with Moonflower Handmade to add these gorgeous, miniature heirloom dolls to the baskets this year. You may remember that I gifted some of these to the kids for Valentine’s Day and I am so thrilled to have been gifted these gorgeous dolls from her Spring Collection. Please go follow her on Instagram and stay tuned for her upcoming CIRCUS collection (I’m going to have to race you all to get some of those dolls)! She also makes beautiful dollhouse accessories and all kinds of miniature magic.
These are truly heirloom pieces that will last forever and the kids will be able to pass them on one day. They are worth the investment. You wouldn’t believe the quality. I had already photographed the Easter baskets earlier today before these arrived but they got here this afternoon and I had to add in the photos before posting so you could check out how beautiful these are!
I hope you guys enjoyed this sneak peek into the kids’ Easter baskets this year. I want to remind everyone that none of this is necessary for a happy childhood and especially during this time I hope that you will give yourself grace to just BE as a family. We will certainly be enjoying lots of family downtime and these holidays certainly aren’t just about gifts – I do this because I love to do it, not because I feel any pressure to do it for them.
Stay home, stay safe, stay healthy, and HAPPY EASTER! xo
